Thirty-one-year-old driver killed after crashing his motorbike into a trailer truck in Chonburi

A thirty-one-year-old driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after he crashed his motorbike into a trailer truck in Mueang Chonburi this week.

The Highway Police was notified of the accident on Motorway (Khao Khaew) Seven Road Section 2 in Mueang Chonburi yesterday (August 19th).

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the body of Mr. Chockchai Juithongkam, 31, from Bangkok. He had suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. His damaged motorbike was stuck under the truck.

The truck driver, Mr. Tanakorn Pursing, 28, told the Highway Police, “I was driving as normal but I saw Mr. Chockchai lose control of his motorbike, sending him underneath my truck. I was unable to avoid the collision.”

Mueang Chonburi Police initially stated they believe Mr. Tanakorn’s story but will be reviewing CCTV before determining if any potential legal charges will be filed.
