The Pattaya News team was treated to a special trial presentation of the new Gourmet to Go service earlier this week and we wanted to share our thoughts and opinions, as well as some pictures of the food. The Pattaya News team was invited to sample the delivery service of the Centara Gourmet to Go program as well as got to try one of the delicious Vistas Lobby Lounge cakes which are perfect for birthdays and other special occasions. We don’t cook so did not try the premium ingredients or recipe service but highly suggest it for those who enjoy cooking!
We were treated to the following menu:
1. Fried Rice with Shrimp Paste ข้าวผัดมันกุ้งเสิร์ฟพร้อมกุ้งแม่น้ำ
2. Hawaiian Pizza พิซซ่าหน้าฮาวายเอี้ยน
3. Fried Chinese noodles with crab ผัดหมี่ซั่วเนื้อปู
4. Phad Krapow Pork ข้าวผัดกะเพราหมู
5. Chocolate Mocca Cake เค้กช็อกโกแลตมอคค่า
First, we have to say we were highly impressed with the presentation. This is not your “normal” delivery service as you can see by the overall packaging and presentation and we were especially impressed with the card included. We hope that is a regular touch for customers as it makes a huge impression. Photos of the presentation and card can be seen below:
As for the food, it was delicious and we were impressed, and yes we like pineapples on pizza here at The Pattaya News and were especially pleased with how fresh the ingredients were and the overall taste of the pineapples on the Hawaiian Pizza. A variety of pizzas are available if pineapple on pizza is not your thing as we know it is a controversial topic for some!
As you can see from the photos, we were pleased overall with the food and it was clearly made by professional chefs and not a fly-by-night kitchen. The design of the cake, seen below, was especially impressive to us, and it was delicious as well!
