Intoxicated Pattaya driver seriously injured after he crashes his motorbike into a guardrail

Pattaya –

An intoxicated driver has sustained serious injuries after he crashed his motorbike into a guardrail in Pattaya early this morning (April 17th).

Rescue workers were notified of the accident at 1:00 A.M. on Motorway 7 Sukhumvit Road.

They and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the damaged motorbike. The injured man, Mr. Montree Jankhuntod, 29, was found bleeding heavily on the road. He had sustained a serious head injury and a broken arm. He was taken to a local hospital for medical assistance. He was not wearing a protective helmet.

His girlfriend, who did not give her name, told The Pattaya News, “Mr. Montree had been drinking heavily and was quite drunk. We were arguing on his motorbike prior to the accident and told me to get off the bike, which I did. Shortly after, probably due to anger, intoxication, and speed he crashed not far away from where he left me on the road. ”

Mr. Montree remains in a local hospital, as nobody else was injured in the accident Pattaya police stated legal charges would not be filed at this time.
