Si Racha –
An elderly local man has shot his neighbor to death after his neighbor complained about the suspects alleged fast driving in a residential area of Si Racha.
The Si Racha Police was notified of the incident on Wednesday afternoon (April 7th) at the Romchat village in the Surasak district.
Police, emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the body of Mr. Itthichai Puangsorn, 40. He was unconscious from a bullet wound to the right side of his chest. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The suspect, Mr. Wichean Tangsuwannakun, 68, fled the scene of the incident immediately following the shooting.
Mr. Itthichai’s mother told Si Racha police, “My son had just come back from work. He met with Mr. Wichean who lives in the same village.”
“Mr. Wichean usually drives very fast in the village, putting neighborhood children at danger. Both men were arguing about this before Wichean went back home. However, my son followed him to his home nearby to continue the complaint. He complained to Mr. Wichean about driving fast in the village and asking him to slow down before he came back home.” Wichean’s mother stated.
“Mr. Wichean came to our home with a gun shortly after, demanding my son come out and speak to him. He talked with my husband before my son came out, despite me pleading with him not to. Mr. Wichean then shot at my son. ” The mother explained.
Mr Wichean has already been arrested and faces charges of homicide according to Si Racha police. He has not released a statement. The entire incident was captured on CCTV video which was released to The Pattaya News.
