Chonburi governor releases closing orders for province and other restrictions for Covid – 19 precautions

The following announcement was released this evening (April 9th) addressing Covid – 19 precautions and high risk venues in all of the Chonburi area.

Places to close:

  1. Entertainment venues and other similar places like bars, nightclubs, lounges, karaoke bars, hostess clubs, gentlemen clubs, pubs, etc.
  2. Cinemas and theaters.
  3. Shower service places, saunas and soapie massage shops. Traditional massages are not included
  4. Places for celebration and other similar places like banquet halls.

Restriction:

Restaurants, food vendors, and cafeterias (except in schools and hospitals) are allowed to be open and eat at those places from 5:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. only. Other times will be take away only. There was no mention of an alcohol ban at restaurants.

Other places from those above must follow strict hygenic measurements. Legal action will be taken against anyone who breaks the order. There are no travel restrictions to or from Chonburi, and no quarantine if entering or leaving the area.

The order will be in effect tomorrow (April 10th ) onward until the situation improves. There is not a specific end date.

The Chonburi Public Health Department PR announced 34 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 this morning, April 9th, 2021.
