Thai man, a hotel gardener, falls to death from third floor of hotel in Pattaya

Pattaya-

A Thai gardener who worked and lived at a local hotel fell to his death from the 3rd floor at a hotel in the Pattaya area today.

The Pattaya City Police were notified of the incident at 8:30 A.M. this morning (April 7th) at a hotel on Pattaya Second Road in Central Pattaya.

Police, rescue workers, and The Pattaya News arrived to find the body of Mr. Prasert Buaketkerd, 59, on the ground covered in blood next to the main hotel building, whose name was withheld as the investigation is ongoing. Police believed that he died at least three hours before his body was recovered as he fell in a rear area of the property.

His friend, Mrs. Samang Praditkeanm, 56, told police, “Mr. Prasert had worked at the hotel for more than 20 years as a gardener.”

“He lived in a room on the premises, like some other senior hotel staff. He had multiple personal health issues. He told me and other staff last night that he had insomnia and was unable to sleep and was seen by multiple staff residents wandering in and out of his room throughout the night which was unusual behavior for him.” Samang stated to the press.

Pattaya City Police stated an autopsy is being conducted to find his exact cause of death and CCTV cameras are being reviewed to determine if the fall was an accident, suicide, or other cause.
