Emergency responders were notified of the accident on Road No 331 (Indochin) in the Nongkham sub-district yesterday morning, Monday, March 8th, 2021.

Several witnesses claimed to associated local press that the driver of a white vehicle hit Mr. Prasit at high speed and proceeded to immediately speed away without checking on the situation or seeing if Mr. Prasit was ok.

A rescue worker, Mr. Rachan Panchan, told associated Thai media, “We were rushing to the scene after we got the initial report of the accident when we saw a heavily damaged vehicle driving recklessly away from the scene and refusing to stop despite efforts from some bystanders and witnesses. We radioed to the police for assistance who later managed to tail the vehicle and force stop the suspect.”

The driver of the white vehicle that hit Mr. Prasit was described as “uncooperative” by Si Racha Police and refused to immediately identify themselves. The driver was taken into custody by police while reportedly denying all charges. He was still not identified as of press time and remained in police custody while still being reportedly described as “unhelpful” and not “cooperating with the investigation” according to Thai police.
