Ten students inside the van that had collided with the trailer truck had sustained minor injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital for medical assistance. The school the students were traveling from was not stated to Associated Press.

The trailer truck driver, Mr. Thongchai Moonjan, told Klong Giw police, “A pickup truck had stopped on the side of the road because several items had fallen out of the back of his truck and he was collecting them.”

“I stopped my vehicle to let the pickup truck driver collect the items that he dropped on the road.” Thongchai continued.

“The two school vans were traveling closely together and one crashed into me, with the other van crashing into the back of the first,” Thongchai concluded.

Klong Giw police are still investigating the incident and have reportedly detained the drivers of the vans to question them further about the accident and determine potential liability.
