More than twenty events planned to be held in Pattaya so far this year, plans to ramp up domestic tourism continue

More than twenty events will be held in Pattaya this year to boost domestic tourism with a ‘New Normal’ style, according to Pattaya City Mayor Sonthaya Khunplume and city officials.

The Pattaya Public Relations Office has officially announced the events scheduled for this year so far. Some events that the city says will happen sometime this year, like the popular fireworks festival, have not yet been announced and will come later. Pattaya has not yet decided if they will have a Songkran festival and the matter is still being discussed, although the Thai Government has approved the festival with proper Covid-19 precautions.

March 13th – April 25th: Eat and Walk festival in Naklua at the Old Market Naklua. (This was rescheduled from earlier this year)

March 26th – March 27th: Pattaya Festival of Lights at Central Pattaya Beach Intersection and other top destinations in the city. This is an Instagram-friendly event encouraged to get people to visit top landmarks in the city and take pictures at what the city calls “jaw-dropping” light displays.

March 26th – March 28th: Pattaya Windsurf and Paddle Board Competition at Jomtein Beach.

April 2nd – April 4th: Pattaya Local Jet-ski Competition at Jomtien Beach.

April 20th: Pattaya Traditional Festival (Gong Khao) at Lan Poe Naklua.

April 21st – April 25th: Jet Ski World Cup at Jomtien Beach. Rescheduled from last December.

April 30 – May 1st: Pattaya Music Festival at Pattaya Beach.

May 3rd – May 9th: Honda LPGA Thailand 2021 at Siam Country Club Old Court. Rescheduled from last year.

May 7th – May 8th: Pattaya Music Festival at Jomtien Beach.

May 14th – May 15th: Pattaya Music Festival at Lan Poe Public Park.

May 21st – May 22nd: Pattaya Music Festival at Central Pattaya Beach.

May 19th – May 23rd: Pattaya Cup Football competition 16th  Year anniversary at Jomtien Beach.

May 27th – May 30th: Teqball Competition 1st time ever at Pattaya Beach.

June 4th – June 6th: Beach Volleyball Pattaya Open at Pattaya Beach.

June 10th – June 13rd: Beach Tennis Tournament 1st time ever at Pattaya Beach.

June 17th – June 20th: Sepak Takraw 3rd competition at Pattaya Beach

June 25 – June 26th: Pattaya Festival at Pattaya Beach.(This marks the anniversary of the city and is likely to include concerts, a food festival, and more.)

July (Date is not given): Swimming Competition Pattaya Open 18th anniversary at Mueang Pattaya 11 School.

July 17th – July 18th: The Annual Pattaya Marathon 26th anniversary starting near the Bali Hai Pier.

August 12th – August 15th: Sepak Takraw Pattaya Cup 19th at Mueang Pattaya 7 School.

September (Date was not given): PATTAYA SUB FUN & RACE FESTIVAL at Jomtien Beach. Details on this were light.

September 27th: Walk – Run Competition at Jomtien Beach.
