Rotary Club of Pattaya meets, allocates member roles, plans team event for March

Pattaya, Thailand-

The Rotary Club of Pattaya met this week at the Royal Cliff in Pattaya, Thailand to discuss their plans for the upcoming 2021 year and press forward with several new initiatives.

You can read more about the renewed Rotary Club of Pattaya, which recently had a major expansion, here.

This week’s meeting covered several major topics, with a major area of focus being the planning of multiple distinct committees and roles for the members of the club in order to better organize future efforts. The new roles are being finalized and discussed by the Club leadership but initial decisions and reviews of roles were given this week.

The Rotary Club will be holding a special group outing in mid-March so that the many new members and legacy members can bond and get to know each other better outside of a formal meeting environment. The outing will be to Koh Kood and will be covered here at the Pattaya News.

The Rotary Club also chose a member to visit several clothes charity boxes, especially one near Mapprachan Lake, which was previously placed for donations for the needy. These charity boxes will be emptied and at a future meeting, the amount of clothes donations tabulated and given to local charities, which will be covered in a future article.

The meeting also addressed the fact that Rotary would celebrate their 116th birthday this week. A very happy birthday to Rotary!

The Rotary Club of Pattaya has been serving Pattaya since 1972 and is in district 3340 of the Rotary organization. The recent expansion is aimed at further serving the Pattaya area and local community and making a positive impact on the community.  The club includes both Thai and Foreign members and holds meetings and events in both English and Thai. They meet bi-weekly at the Royal Cliff hotel every other Monday. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 8th, 2021.
