RECAP: Thailand reports 73 domestic infections out of 89 new Covid-19 cases in past 24 hours

Thailand discovered 73 domestic infections among a total of 89 new Covid-19 Coronavirus daily cases in the past 24 hours, CCSA Deputy spokesperson Apisamai Srirangsan announced this morning, February 22nd.

The majority of 59 local infections were walk-in/hospital cases that were found in Samut Sakhon with 31, Tak with 11, Pathum Thani with 9, Nakhon Pathom with 6, Ayutthaya with 1, and Ang Thong with 1. All of the patients are now isolated at local and field hospitals for treatment under the supervision of public health authorities.

The other 14 cases were reported during proactive case findings in local communities, particularly in local markets, factories, and migrant workers dormitories, in Pathum Thani with 9, Samut Sakhon with 2, Tak with 2, and Nonthaburi with 1. Most of them were Myanmar migrant workers and asymptomatic, according to the deputy spokesperson.
