Unidentified driver dies after he crashes his motorbike into trailer truck in Banglamung

Banglamung, Chonburi-

An unidentified motorbike driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after he crashed his motorbike into a trailer truck in Banglamung over the past weekend (February 19th).

Captain Romran Sikraipak of the Nongprue Police was notified of the accident at 1:00 A.M. on Number 36 Road (Pattaya-Rayong) in the Pong sub-district early Friday morning.

Emergency responders, Banglamung police, and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the body of a man about 27 years of age lying near his heavily damaged motorbike. No identification documents were found with the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene with emergency staff believing he had passed away instantly after the accident. He had not been wearing a helmet during the accident.

The trailer truck involved in the accident was found at the side of the road. The driver, Mr. Jamnong Poonso, 34, was waiting for Banglamung police at the scene. He was not injured and was described by Banglamung police as cooperative.

Jamnong told Banglamung police, “I saw a group of motorbikes were driving at high speed, possibly racing, before one of them crashed into the rear of my vehicle. I immediately pulled over and called law enforcement for assistance.”

Banglamung police are reviewing CCTV nearby to determine the exact sequence of events, as well as potentially identify the driver and those he was allegedly riding with during the time of the accident.
