Pattaya City planning to build two massive almost fifteen foot tall dolphin statues at Dolphin Roundabout as new landmark

Pattaya –

The dolphin roundabout in Pattaya will be renovated into two over four meter tall “new and improved” dolphin statues complete with a brand new fountain as an important Pattaya landmark, according to city leaders today.

The Pattaya City Deputy Mayor Manot Nongyai told The Pattaya News, “The Dolphin Roundabout is one of the most important landmarks in Pattaya.”

“Tourists who are visiting Pattaya might not know that this is dolphin roundabout as the current dolphin statue is too small at only 1.50 meters tall.”

“We have had an idea to renovate the roundabout. We will still keep the old dolphin statue but we will add two bigger dolphin statues which will be over four meters tall each. ”

“There will be a high fountain at the roundabout too. So tourists can clearly see from far away where the dolphin roundabout is. It can also become a popular spot for photos and for tourists to visit and check-in.”

“When the new dolphin roundabout design is finished, there will be public hearings to see if local residents agree with our idea.” Manot concluded.

The current plan is still in a proposal stage notes The Pattaya News.
