Two young teenage students die after their motorbike collides with trailer truck in Chonburi

Chonburi-

Two teenage students have been pronounced dead after their motorbike was hit by a truck in Mueang Chonburi.

The Don Hualor Police was notified of the accident at 5:30 P.M. yesterday (February 8th) on Suk Prayoon Road in the Don Hualor sub-district.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the body of a 14-year-old male student. His body was trapped under the trailer truck on the road.

Nearby, rescue workers found the passenger, a 13-year-old male student. He had sustained serious head and leg injuries. He was tragically pronounced deceased while he was being transferred to a local hospital.

The two teenagers damaged motorbike was found 50 meters from the truck.

The trailer truck driver, Mr. Banjongsak Somboon, 41, told Don Hualor police, “There was a pickup truck coming out from the entry road to a temple without warning.”

“I tried to avoid the pickup truck as I was sure there were no other vehicles near the truck.”

Police said the truck driver is facing charges of reckless driving causing death.
