Delivery man urges police to find teenagers who reportedly attacked him in Banglamung last year

Banglamung –

A Pattaya area deliveryman complained to local press earlier this week after he was reportedly attacked by a group of teenagers who have still been on the run for almost a year.

Mr. Warut Kongpeng, 20, a delivery man, complained to local media, “The incident was in April of last year shortly after the first Covid-19 shutdown in Thailand.”

“I had a problem with the teenagers while I was delivering food to a customer in Central Pattaya. I had stopped at a grocery store in Nongprue before those teenagers cornered me, pulled a firearm on me, and then hit me in the face with the handle of the weapon.” Warut informed Pattaya News reporters while at the Pattaya Police station.

The Pattaya News notes that Warut did not make it clear what the previously mentioned problem with the suspects was. Warut stated, however, that he believes he did nothing wrong and did not instigate the incident.

“I was bleeding heavily as a result of the attack and left on the ground in a puddle of my own blood while they fled the scene. I immediately filed a report to the Bnaglamung police after getting medical assistance.” Warut continued.

“I contacted Banglamung police again recently but the answer was that they are continuing their investigation, a full year later,” Warut said, expressing his frustration.

“With the help of local shops, I managed to get police pictures of the suspects from CCTV, including their license plates from their motorbike,” Warut explained

“I have seen these suspects since the incident, and I still feel threatened and hope police will take action soon to catch these individuals,” Warut concluded.

Banglamung police acknowledged that they had gotten multiple complaints from the alleged victim and stated the case was still under investigation but cited privacy concerns of an ongoing investigation to being unable to provide Pattaya News reporters with more details.
