Thailand announces 194 new domestic cases of Covid-19

Bangkok-

At a press conference held by the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) this morning the spokesperson, Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, announced 194 new cases of Covid-19.

Dr. Taweesin stated that of the 194 cases 181 were locally spread and domestic cases. 13 of the cases were imported from people arriving to Thailand from overseas. This is a drop from 250 cases discovered yesterday through what the government calls aggressive contact tracing and testing

Thailand has now had a total of 6,884 total cases with 4,240 recoveries and 61 deaths.

Chonburi recorded only sixteen cases today after yesterday’s large number of cases moved Banglamung, home of Pattaya, into a highly controlled status and caused business closures and restrictions to take place. We will have a separate article on Chonburi’s cases.
