Recap: CCSA announces total of 134 Covid-19 domestic cases with one death in Thailand today

A total of 134 Covid-19 domestic transmission cases, with one local death, was announced at the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) press conference this morning, December 29th.

More confirmed patients connected to a first cluster at the Samut Sakhon seafood market were discovered in the past 24 hours in Nakhon Pathom 5, Samut Sakhon 4, Samut Songkram 2, and Nakhon Ratchasima 1.

About 19 domestic cases reportedly linked to a Rayong illegal gambling establishment were confirmed in Bangkok 11, Nakhon Pathom 5, Pathum Thani 1, Uttaradit 1, and Nonthaburi 1.

Approximately 103 patients in Rayong, Chonburi, Bangkok, Chanthaburi, Samut Prakan, Nakhon Pathom, and Lampang are under disease investigation and confirmation by public health officials.

A new death was confirmed in Rayong yesterday, December 28th, after he was closely involved in a gambling den that was the source of a large cluster of infections. He had been suffering from congenital health conditions prior to the positive Covid-19 test, including ischemic heart disease, CVA (stroke-related issues), and diabetes.
