Motorbike driver injured after colliding with pickup truck in Banglamung

A young Thai driver has sustained injuries after his motorbike collided with a pickup truck in Banglamung last night (December 16th).

The Pattaya City Police was notified of the incident at 11:00 PM near the entrance of Chalerm Phrakiet Road 4/1 in Nongprue.

Emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find the damaged motorbike and a pickup truck on the road.

The motorbike driver, Mr. Teeraphong Somrang, 28, had sustained moderate head injuries. He was taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.

The pickup truck driver, Mr. Chatphon Kilai, 34, was waiting for Banglamung Police at the scene.

Chatphon told police that the motorbike driver, Teeraphong, who allegedly had no lights while driving at high speed, crashed into his pickup truck.

Banglamung Police, however, are still investigating the incident overall and will review CCTV in the area.
