Four injured after man sets himself on fire at Chonburi market – VIDEO

Angsila, Chonburi-

Four people have sustained injuries from burn related trauma after a man set himself on fire at a market in the Angsila district.

The Sanesuk Police was notified of the incident in the afternoon earlier this week at a popular seafood market.

Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find four injured people who were named as Mr. Jan Wongpan, 25, a Laotian national, Mr. Nattaphon Poontanayakorn, 39, Ms. Massaya Kerdpan, 34, and the man who set himself on fire whose name has been withheld by the Pattaya News.

They had all sustained injuries from burn related trauma. They were taken to a local hospital for medical assistance.

A witness, Mr. Guea Aree, 29, said he saw a man with a one gallon oil canister. He poured the oil on himself before setting himself on fire with a cigarette lighter. He had sustained serious injuries.

Three other people who had been injured were trying to help the man who set himself on fire. There was no immediate reason given for the man’s actions.
