Another local transmission of Covid-19 recently found in Singburi patient, Singburi health officials reports today

A Singburi native, 51, who reportedly traveled to Chiang Rai and took the same flight with another infected patient who had illegally fled Myanmar and gone to Bangkok became the latest locally transmitted Covid-19 case in Thailand, Singburi Public Officials and Health Ministry confirmed this morning, December 4.

According to the initial information from Singburi Public Officials, she was visiting Chiang Rai on November 25 and flew to Don Mueang International Airport before returning to her hometown in Singburi on November 27th. She reportedly traveled to Bangkok via Nok Air Airline Flight DD8717, which is the same flight as Bangkok and Phichit patients who were illegally returning from Myanmar and recently announced having positive tests for Covid-19 on Wednesday.

The 51-year-old female patient was reportedly suffering from some Covid-19 symptoms before deciding to seek a Covid-19 test at a local hospital after the official announcement of six returnees in northern provinces testing positive. Her result showed her being positively infected with the Covid-19 Coronavirus on December 3rd.

Sophon Iamsirithavorn, director of the Division of Communicable Diseases, stated at the press conference today that the case has been reported by Singburi officials. However, a team of the provincial officers is still examining and deeply investigating the patient for her detailed travel itinerary and the possibility of the spread of the virus.

The patient’s timeline can be observed below. However, this timeline is not officially confirmed by the national authorities but has been widely shared through social media platforms after being shared by provincial and local authorities.

25 November 2020

5:00 PM – Arrive at Chiang Rai Province and travel to the Lengheng food factory at Wiang Pa Pao district for work

26 November 2020

Morning – Make a group visit at the Lengheng food factory

3:00 PM – Travel to Singha Park, Chiang Rai Province and stayed at the event until 7:00 PM.

08:00 PM – Return to the hotel

27 November 2020

12:00 PM – Arrive at Chiang Rai Airport by the factory bus. Take a flight DD8717 from Nok Air Airlines

3:15 PM – Arrive at Don Mueang Airport. Return to the factory at Sawa district, Ang Thong Province via the factory bus. Stop on the way for a meal at Big Noodle restaurant.

29 November 2020

2:00 PM – Leave her room to buy some food at Tha Kham market until 4:00 PM.

30 November 2020

10:00 PM – Get an influenza vaccine at Inburi Hospital by public van as she was starting to have a fever.

1-2 December 2020

– Stay at home for two days. She reportedly began to have body aches on December 2nd, possibly from the injection.

December 3, 2020

10:00 AM – Being alerted of the six illegal returnee cases in which one of them visited Singha Park and two of them took the same flight as her. Immediately sought a Covid-19 test at Bang Rachan Hospital and tested positive.

Authorities are stressing they are able to track the woman’s history and asking for the public to remain calm.
