Chonburi-
A married couple was shot dead following an argument with a neighbor about their barking dog in the Mueang Chonburi district yesterday.
The Samet Police in Chonburi was notified of the incident at 10:00 PM at a house in the Samet sub-district last night (November 10th).
They arrived at the scene to find the body of Mr. Yothin, 39, in front of the house. He had sustained multiple bullet wound related injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ms. Boonyanee, age not given, who is Mr. Yothinâs wife, had sustained serious injuries from a bullet wound to her eye.
She was later pronounced dead while she was being transferred to a local hospital.
Mrs. Wassana, 48, who is Mrs Boonyaneeâs sister and lives with the couple, told police that âOur dog was barking after someone parked their car nearby our home.â
âThe suspect, Mr. Jirat Wuttimananon, 49, who lives nearby, came over angrily and asked Yothin to kick the dog and make the dog be quiet and stop barking.â
âYothin refused and a verbal argument began after which the suspect fired several gunshots.â Wassana concluded.
Wassana was not injured during the shooting.

The suspect, Jirat, surrendered to the police and voluntarily turned himself in. He was described as calm and cooperative despite the brutal incident.
He reportedly admitted to Samet police that, “I have been annoyed with the dog for a long time and made many complaints. They did not listen to me.â
âThis time the dog owner told me that if I wanted to fight with the dog and make it be quiet it was up to me.â
âI then fired more than ten gunshots and ended the argument on my terms.â Jirat allegedly told police.
Samet police stated that Jirat did not appear in the least apologetic, regretful or upset about his actions. He remains in custody facing double charges of murder.
