Thai Government appears to block popular adult website Pornhub

Thailand-

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society appears to have blocked access to popular adult web site Pornhub according to multiple reports by concerned users in Thailand this evening.

Attempts to reach the website, in which Thailand is reportedly one of their larger customer bases especially in Bangkok, appeared to give a variety of errors from either not loading at all, to a screen relating to the Computer Crimes Act of 2007.

Some users stated in comments they could reach the website however the vast majority of comments reflected that one could not.

This is not the first time the website has been blocked in Thailand for allegedy violating the countries computer crimes and obscenity laws although in prior cases it was quickly restored and stated as a technical glitch by the government although several internet providers admitted to being told to block the website. The most recent case was in May during the Covid19 lockdown in Thailand which drew widespread complaints.

It is unclear if that is the case this time as well. Comments have flooded social media networks this evening with many people visibly upset.
