Two dead, including two-year-old girl, four injured after two vehicle collision in Chonburi

Chonburi-

Two people were pronounced dead while four people sustained injuries after a car collided with a pickup truck in the Koh Jan district earlier this week.

The Koh Jan Police were notified of the accident on Sunday afternoon near an intersection in the Tha Boonmee sub-district.

Police and the Sawang Het rescue team arrived at the scene of the accident to find a wrecked pickup truck and sedan on the road.

Four people sustained various injuries who were named as a three-year-old girl, Mrs. Nong Nuch, 40, Mr. Boonchai Sawatdeemongkon, 27, and Ms. Nid Klinmut, 39. They were all taken to a local hospital.

Two other people sustained serious injuries who were named as a two-year-old girl and Mr. Boonkom Ronrueangrit, 48. They both were pronounced dead upon arrival at a local hospital.

CCTV footage nearby shows that the black sedan appeared to have lost control and veered into the opposite lane before crashing into a white pickup truck.

However, Chonburi police are continuing their investigation to determine the exact sequence of events that led to the fatal accident.
