Significant fire destroys recycling warehouse in Si Racha – VIDEO

A significant fire has destroyed a warehouse where paper meant for recycling was being kept in Si Racha this morning. More than 50 fire engines from nearby areas were called to assist in putting out the fire.

Fire fighters were originally notified of the fire before dawn at a warehouse in the Surasak sub-district.

More than 50 fire engines arrived at the scene to find the fire was heavily ablaze with lots of smoke.

It took more than twelve hours to control the spread of the fire. More than 10,000 kilograms of papers inside the warehouse have been destroyed according to relevant officals. The middle roof of the warehouse collapsed and suffered structural damage.

The warehouse has been restricted to access to prevent anyone to get near it while firefighters continue to spray water into the warehouse as of this afternoon.

The cause of the fire will be investigated when the fire has been placed completely under control.
