Pattaya-

Pattaya City officials released their events schedule for the latter part of 2020 today in an effort to boost domestic tourism.

A total of nine major events are scheduled between the end of September and New Year, nearly one every other weekend. With borders closed to international tourists Pattaya is focusing heavily on events designed to appeal to domestic tourists and drive traffic to the city that has been devastated by the Covid-19 crisis.

The schedule of events, which The Pattaya News will also place on our events calendar on Facebook, includes:

-A charity dolphin run on September 27 on Jomtien Beach

-An exotic car show festival on Walking Street at the end of this month

-A Halloween glow in the dark bikini beach run and Halloween parties across town on October 31

-A Loy Krathong festival which falls on the same day, October 31

-A Diwali Indian festival in November.

Pattaya Fireworks Festival on November 27 and November 28

-A Rotary Club beach run on November 29

-Pattaya City Music Festival December 11 and 12

-A Walk and eat food festival scheduled in different areas of the city every weekend on Saturday and Sunday from December 19 to February 7.

-Countdown New Year’s Festival at Bali Hai Pier with fireworks, concerts and shows from Dec 29 to the 31

All events will have “new normal” style Covid19 precautions and will require masks, temperature checks, hand washing stations and social distancing. More events may also take place.
