Pattaya City helps repair storm damaged roof of 81 year old woman’s home

Pattaya-

A Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, Mr. Bunlue Kunlavanich, personally helped repair the roof of an 81 year old woman whose roof had been crushed during a recent storm by a falling tree.

The home, which is located in Naklua off of Moo 2, had been built many years ago by 81 year old Mrs. Kanungnit Sangkhamongkol. She told local Pattaya press that although her home was simple she was comfortable there, however, a recent storm caused a tree to fall, crushing the roof and causing rainwater to come into her home. She had no funds to repair the roof as she was unemployed due to Covid-19. She had previously, despite her age, worked seven days a week selling to tourists on Koh Larn. However, due to the pandemic, she had no customers to sell to anymore.

Mr. Bunlue heard about her difficult situation through other city hall officials and personally made a visit to her home to direct a team to repair her roof in full. Mr. Bunlue is responsible for the construction and environment related projects in Pattaya.

Mrs. Kanungnit was very thankful for the support and the new roof and deeply thanked Pattaya City for the support during her personal crisis. Pattaya City also provided her with medical and other basic supplies.
