Si Racha-

A fire has destroyed more than 50 golf carts at a golf course in Si Racha last night. The cost in damages is estimated in the millions of baht.

Fire fighters were notified of the fire at 10:30 PM at a golf course in the Bang Phra sub-district.

Fire fighters with fire engines, emergency responders along with Si Racha Police and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene.

The fire was ablaze at a warehouse inside the golf course. It took about 30 minutes to control the fire.

The golf course manager Mrs. Puangphet Phetget, 56, told police that there were more than 50 golf carts inside the warehouse.

All were totally destroyed by the fire. The estimated damage in cost is up to 40 million baht.

A security guard, Mr. Kingson Tunok, told police that he saw the fire started from a battery charger at a golf cart.

At this stage police believe that the fire started from a charger when rain dropped on it before sparking.

However, the Forensic Police are continuing an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
