One dead one seriously injured after sedan collides with pickup truck in Chonburi

Chonburi-

One person has died while another has sustained serious injuries after a sedan crashed with a pickup truck in Mueang Chonburi yesterday.

The Sanesuk Police was notified of the accident yesterday near a golf course in the Mueang sub-district.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find Mr. Wichean Chomchorm, 51 who had sustained serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Another injured party was Mr. Somwang Kongtawan. He was also taken to a local hospital. Both men were passengers in the vehicles, the drivers were not injured.

Rescue staff found the damaged pickup truck crashed into a tree on the side of the road.

The damaged sedan was found at the entrance of the golf course.

The sedan driver, Patcharee Pansri, 32, claimed that she was turning into the golf course. She states she had turned on her turn signal properly when the pickup truck crashed into the back of her sedan.

Meanwhile, the pickup truck driver, Mr. Jatuchom Chomchorn, 49 claimed that the sedan immediately took a turn into the golf course without any turn signal.

Mueang Chonburi police are continuing their investigation for further potential legal action and to determine fault.
