Huge python caught near goose coop in Si Racha

Si Racha-

A large python has been caught by local rescue workers near a goose coop in Si Racha last night after the concerned property owner called for assistance following his goose alerting him to the snakes presence by honking in terror.

Rescue workers were notified of the python slithering around a goose coop at a banana garden in Borwin at 8:30 PM yesterday, August 23, 2020.

Rescue workers and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a five meter long python which attempted to evade the staff after being spotted.

Rescue workers took 20 minutes to catch the python. The massive snaked weighed about 40 kilograms, according to the staff involved in the rescue operation.

The snake will be safely released to a remote forest in the Chonburi area so that it cannot cause any further scares to local residents or potentially threaten other animals.  The geese were visibly scared by the snake and had alerted the owner by honking loudly.  Luckily, no geese were injured during the incident.
