Pattaya planning to hold Diwali Indian festival in November to boost domestic tourism

Pattaya-

Pattaya City leaders, led by Deputy Mayor Ronnakit Ekkasing, held meetings yesterday to plan a Diwali festival to attract Indians and others to Pattaya in November.

The festival, which is also known as the festival of lights and arguably the biggest holiday yearly in India, is still in the early planning stages.

The festival will be proposed to be held on November 13 to 15 in the Walking Street area.

The goal is to attract thousands of Thai Indian domestic tourists from across the country as well as domestic Thai tourists and expats who wish to participate.

Early plans include unique food markets, a parade, unique decorations, traditional dancers and entertainment and music. Fireworks are also reportedly being discussed.
