Pattaya-
The Pattaya City Mayor, Sonthaya Khunpluem, announced this afternoon in a meeting with various associated local Thai press that as the situation improves with Covid-19 in Thailand Pattaya City is looking to the future.
Two major events, both primarily driven by domestic tourism, the music festival and international fireworks festival, are back in planning and will highly likely be rescheduled this fall past August if the situation continues to improve he said.
The Mayor also predicted the CCSA would release closure orders on nightlife and entertainment venues that have ground the city to a virtual stop in very near future and stated that although the past few months had been difficult they would succeed in the future together.
The Pattaya Music Festival typically draws tens of thousands to Pattaya, almost all of them being domestic Thai tourists in an event that highlights the most well know musical artists in Thailand.
The International Fireworks Festival also generally draws tens of thousands of tourists, mostly domestic but some foreigner, yearly as well.
Mayor Sonthaya Khunpluem stated that both events were back on the table to help relaunch Pattaya and draw domestic tourists.
