Father Ray Foundation in Pattaya says they need help due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus crisis

Pattaya-

The Father Ray Foundation, which helps over 850 children in the Pattaya area, has reached out to the local Thai Media this weekend seeking assistance, saying donations have dropped to a critical level due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus situation world-wide.

Pastor Sukhum Thanasing, president of the Father Ray Foundation, spoke with The Pattaya News this weekend and stated that donations compared to last year were only about twenty percent of last years total. He believes this is primarily driven due to the Covid-19 Coronavirus and the lack of tourists in Pattaya. A significant amount of their donations, he says, comes from regular tourists who visit the city and its tourist attractions, stopping by the center on their vacations and trips to assist the children and foundation.

However, Pastor Sukhum says, with the ban on international flights to Thailand and the vast majority of tourist attractions in Pattaya force closed by the Thai Government which are a primary reason for visiting the city, their donations and support have fallen to an absolute critical level. Additionally, they have lost many donations due to people and organizations suffering cash flow issues of their own caused by the Covid-19 Coronavirus situation.

Pastor Sukham says the foundation has had to let staff go and seriously cut their expenses during this difficult time but they wanted to make sure that not a single child was negatively effected by the overall situation, so he decided to reach out to the media to ask for support from those that were financially able to do so.

If you wish to help, the Center is open everyday in Pattaya and can be reached here for more information at 038-428717 and 091-7179089.
