The Nongprue Police was notified of the accident at 11:30PM in Soi Nern Plubwan.

Police, emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a heavily damaged motorbike.

Nearby, rescue workers found 29 year old Pumlert Usaprom who was unconscious and bleeding heavily from a head wound. He had not been wearing a protective helmet. He was rushed to a local hospital for medical assistance.

A witness told The Pattaya News that while she was sleeping during the curfew time, she heard the accident from her room nearby, which woke her up. She ran out to see what happened before calling police for help.

Banglamung police stated they will review CCTV from a nearby business. They declined to state to the press if they felt alcohol was a factor or if the man could face charges of violating the current Thai National Curfew from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM daily. The curfew is a protective measure to help potentially prevent the spread of the Covid19 Coronavirus.
