Chonburi

The Chonburi Public Relations team announced this morning that zero new cases of the Covid19 Coronavirus had been discovered in the province in the last day.

This is two days in a row with zero new infections found but seven of the last nine days with no new cases. The only confirmed cases in the past nine days were previous close contacts of prior positive cases of the Coronavirus.

A total of 85 cases of the Covid19 Coronavirus have been found in Chonburi since the start of the outbreak. There have been two deaths and 62 recoveries from the virus. A total of 21 people remain under hospital care.

31 people are classified as people under investigation, or PUI, and having testing conducted currently.

Chonburi continues to proactively test up to several hundred asymptomatic people a day in Pattaya at the Grand Bella Hotel, chosen from high risk groups who still have significant exposure to the general public such as taxi drivers and Immigration staff. So far, the testing has not shown signs of widespread infection.
