The Chonburi Public Relations Committee, along with the Chonburi Government, reported this afternoon on the current situation in Chonburi and Banglamung, which includes Pattaya.
The details of the report, summarized, are as follows:
Six new cases were confirmed in the Chonburi area, the details on each case are:
-A 65 year old British man in Banglamung, being contact traced currently to determine how he contracted Covid-19.
-A 66 year old Thai woman in Banglamung, also being contact traced.
-A 33 year old Thai man in Sattahip, being contact traced.
-A 39 year old Thai man in Panthong, infected after drinking alcohol with a previous confirmed case together.
-A 27 year old Thai woman in Banglamung, being contact traced.
-A 48 year old Thai woman in Mueang Chonburi, infected from her husband, a previous confirmed case.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Chonburi to 67, with 27 in Banglamung (Which is where Pattaya is.)
The daily update also brought the uplifting news that the total number of treated and recovered patients has gone from 9, reported in the previous day, to 25! Sixteen patients have fully recovered from Covid-19, are healthy, and have been released in Chonburi.
42 patients currently remain under medical care in Chonburi.
65 people are currently under investigation for Covid-19. The majority of these under investigation cases turn out to be negative, The Pattaya News notes, with a total of 1075 people investigated since the start of the outbreak.
