Pattaya Marine Run 2020 postponed out of Covid-19 Coronavirus concerns

Pattaya City and event organizers have postponed the Pattaya Marine Run due to the novel Covid-19 outbreak taking place across the world.

Marine run Organizers have informed the Pattaya News and posted on their social media channels that the decision has been made to postpone the run scheduled mid month. They have not stated a new date at this time.

Pattaya City officials stressed there were no cases of Covid-19 in Pattaya and cleaning measures and postpone were all preventative and designed to protect locals, expats and tourists.

This joins several other major events postponed or cancelled, although at press time a decision has not been made on the Thai music festival, Glory Muay Thai festival and the upcoming Thai food festival mid month.

Meanwhile, The Thai Tourism Authority Governor today said Songkran will at this time likely go forward as planned, however major events and concerts likely not take place for the biggest holiday of the year.
