Pattaya City postpones Pattaya Open Swimming Competition due to Covid19 concerns

Pattaya –
The Pattaya City Government has postponed the Pattaya Open Swimming Competition due to the novel Covid-19 outbreak taking place across the world.

Pattaya City officials have informed the Pattaya News and posted on their social media channels that the decision has been made to postpone the Pattaya Open Swimming Competition originally scheduled for March 7- 8.

Pattaya City officials stressed there were no cases of Covid-19 in Pattaya and cleaning measures and postponements were all preventative and designed to protect locals, expats and tourists. The swimming event was scheduled at a Pattaya school and parents had expressed concern of many foreign swimmers participating from countries that have had heavy virus breakouts, leading to the postponement.

Rescheduling will be set in the near future. For more information please contact Pattaya Contact Center 1337 for 24 hours.
