Indian tourist seriously injured in motorbike accident in Na Jomtien

An Indian motorbike driver has sustained serious injuries after colliding with a truck in Na Jomtien early this morning, January 1st, 2020.

The Na Jomtien Police was notified of the accident at 5:30AM on Sukhumwit Road in Huay Yai.

Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a foreign man who was identified by police only as a Indian national bleeding heavily on the road.

Nearby, police found a heavily damaged motorbike. The injured Indian man was rushed to a local hospital.

A damaged truck was found on the side of the road. The driver, 26 year old Mr. Chanan Treesiripisan, was waiting for police at the scene. He was not injured.

Chanan told the police that the India motorbike driver had immediately changed lanes without a turn signal and that he was unable to avoid the collision. He alleges the accident was the fault of the motorbike driver.

However, police are continuing their investigation and reviewing CCTV in the immediate vicinity.
