Five meter long king cobra caught in Chonburi

A five meter long king cobra has been caught in a pickup truck in Baan Bueang.

Seenlatham Baan Bueang Chonburi rescue workers were notified of the king cobra this weekend at a house in the Klongkiw sub-district.

They rushed to the scene to find the five metres king cobra in the engine room of a pickup truck.

It took about an hour for rescue workers to carefully catch the king cobra.

44 year old Mr. Piti Leawrakolan, who is a previous village headman, said he saw the king cobra was climbing in his pickup truck. He called for assistance from local animal rescue officials.

The cobra will be released back to a local forest.
