Female Uzbekistan tourist has bag snatched in South Pattaya, fifth in a few weeks

Pattaya –
Suspects have snatched a bag from an Uzbek woman in South Pattaya early this morning.

Major Thanin Kanpai of The Pattaya City Police was notified of the incident in Soi Marine Yensabai.
Police and The Pattaya News rushed to the scene.

At the scene they found 37 year old Ms. Vsola Vanhidova, Uzbek national. She told police that two suspects on a motorbike had snatched her bag while she was walking down the road.

Inside the bag she said she had some important documents and about 3,000 baht cash.

Police are now checking CCTV footage nearby and hunting for the suspects.

This is the fifth bag snatching, all Eastern European female Tourists, in the Pattaya area in just a few weeks. The majority of the previous thefts took place in Naklua. Police continue to investigate if the crimes are possibly connected.
