One dead one seriously injured in Pattaya motorbike accident

Pattaya –
One person has died while another has sustained serious injuries after a motorbike crash in South Pattaya after midnight.

Emergency responders were notified of the incident at 12:30AM at a U-turn in front of a Macro store.

Emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find two damaged motorbikes. Two motorbike drivers had sustained serious injuries. They were rushed to a local hospital.

Witnesses told The Pattaya News that the Yamaha motorbike was taking a U-turn while the Honda CBR was coming straight unable to avoid the collision.

The Yamaha driver is identified by police as 55 year old Mr Kamnimit Rachothorn. The Honda driver was 28 years old Mr Ponlaphat Traipothong who was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Mr. Rachothorn is expected to recover from his injuries.
