Couple seriously injured after pickup truck flipped in Sri Racha

Sri Racha –
A Thai couple has sustained serious injuries after their pickup truck has overturned in Sri Racha yesterday afternoon.

Lt Col Eakkachai Moonlee of Plu Taluang Police was notified of the incident at 3:30PM on Sattahip – Khao Hinsorn Road.

Police emergency responders and The Pattaya News rushed to the scene to find the overturned pickup truck on the side of the road.

Inside the pickup truck they found the driver, 52 year old Mrs. Bussakorn Kayim, who had sustained serious injuries. Rescue workers use a jaw of life to free her. She was rushed to a local hospital.

Nearby they found 50 year old Mr. Tossaphon Kayim who is Mrs. Bussakorn’s husband. He was the passenger and had sustained moderate injuries but was concious and aware.

Mr. Tossaphon told The Pattaya News that his wife was driving the pickup truck while he was sleeping. He was unsure what happened exactly as he slept through the accident and only woke up during the crash.

However, police are continuing their investigation to find the cause of the accident.
