Taxi motorbike driver died crushed by a bus in Pattaya – VIDEO Pattaya –

A taxi motorbike driver has died at the scene after being crushed by a tour bus in North Pattaya at noon yesterday, Sunday, August 4. The bus driver was not found at the scene and witnesses stated he fled shortly on foot after the accident.

The Pattaya City Police were notified of an accident near Central Marina Department Store on Pattaya Sai 2 Road. Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a damaged motorbike. Nearby, they found the body of a man who was later identified as 30-year-old local motorbike taxi driver Sompot Nuikaew.

His body was crushed and his remains were taken to a local hospital. A tour bus was left unattended in the middle of the road as the driver had seemingly fled the scene of the accident.

Witnesses stated to The Pattaya News that the bus was driving with high speed and the motorbike driver was trying to overtake the bus. The motorbike lost control of his vehicle during the attempt and Mr. Nuikaew fell off at which point he was crushed by the bus.

Police are continuing their investigation and checking CCTV footage nearby to locate the missing bus driver.
