Motorbike collides with Six wheel truck, two Thai Nationals die

Pattaya-

At 2:00AM early this morning, August 10th 2018, Pol.Maj.Gen.Srirom Srikraipak, from the Nongprue Police Station, in Chonburi was notified of a major motorbike accident near the railroad track on Soi Chaiyaphruek.

Upon arriving at the scene with rescue workers they found a Honda Wave Motorbike damaged on the road that had collided with a six wheel truck from Khon Kaen delivering products to Chonburi.

Lying on the road seriously injured were 32 year old Sun Matcharoen and an unidentified young Thai woman, believed to be his girlfriend but had no identification on her. Rescue workers attempted to save the lives of both of the seriously injured Thai’s but were unsuccessful and both passed away at the scene.

Mr. Somchai Chan Sa-ara, 47, who witnessed the accident, told the Pattaya News that Mr. Matcharoen was driving at a very high rate of speed when he lost control going over the railroad tracks hitting a bump and plowed into the back of the six wheel truck. The impact was so brutal Mr. Sa-ara described it as, quote, like a tsunami.

The driver of the six wheel truck was uninjured and was cooperative with police in their investigation. The railroad track has CCTV which police will examine to backup the eye witness report.
