Five suspects in connection with the assault and alleged forced prostitution of a 22-year-old woman in Pattaya were arrested by Pattaya police early this morning, June 27th.

On June 27th, at 1:06 AM, Pattaya police officers, along with officers from the Anti-Human Trafficking Division, arrested the five suspects on charges of “conspiracy to commit human trafficking, organizing prostitution, unlawful detention, coercion, physical assault, and trespassing”
The arrest took place after CCTV cameras allegedly caught them attacking a young woman at her rental room in South Pattaya. The woman had previously escaped from their alleged detention where she was forced into prostitution to repay the debt incurred by her friend who fled overseas.
The suspects were identified by police as:
- Mr. Phuwinai (Kea) Buakong, 21, from Roi Et
- Mr. Kittithon Phuwaiboon, 29, from Suphan Buri
- Ms. Duangkamon Phanrat, 30, from Kamphaeng Phet
- Ms. Duangploy Phanrat, age unknown, from Kamphaeng Phet
- Mr. Nares Khemtong, 40, from Chonburi
The suspects were arrested at a tattoo shop in Soi Rung Land in Pattaya while playing video games on their mobile phones.
After interrogating the suspects, Pattaya police revealed that they have confessed to some of the undisclosed charges but did not expand on which charges or who had confessed to what. The investigation is continuing as of press time.
