A fire broke out at the “Dubai Restaurant” located near Pattaya Walking Street in the Soi 16 area on the night of June 15th, 2024.

The incident occurred around 10:36 PM at the three-story building that houses an international restaurant. Upon receiving the emergency call, the Pattaya fire fighting team and rescue workers quickly responded to the scene to extinguish the blaze.
There, authorities observed a significant amount of smoke billowing from the building. Emergency responders promptly evacuated tourists and nearby residents from the area to ensure their safety.
Firefighters deployed water trucks to control the flames. The fire was contained within a short period, but smoke still lingered throughout the vicinity. The firefighters told The Pattaya News that the source of the fire was located near a wooden pole. The fire had damaged electrical appliances and air conditioning units placed near the pole.
Unfortunately, one person sustained injuries during the incident. The injured individual was identified as Mr. Bunyakorn Singhsoong, a 41-year-old Pattaya City Special Operations officer, who sustained a minor cut to his hand, while opening a window out of concern that there might be a person trapped inside the restaurant. Rescue workers administered initial first aid before transporting him to the hospital.
