Electrical Issue Sparks Fire Scare at Nongprue Gas Station, No Injuries Reported

Nong Prue —

At 9:06 PM on June 14th, 2024, Nong Prue Municipality Disaster Relief officers received a report of a fire at a PT gas station in Soi Nen Phlap Wan, Nong Prue, Chonburi.

Nong Prue firefighters and officers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation were promptly dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they found locals and gas station employees in a state of panic as smoke and flames emanated from a storage room at the back of the station.

The firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, which caused only minor damage to a storage room.
Ms. Busakorn Manalo, a gas station employee, reported that while she was working, the electricity suddenly went out, and she noticed a strange light coming from the storage room. It was noted that electricity officials had previously inspected and attempted to repair an issue with the electrical system.

Despite the fire causing alarm among locals and employees, who feared it might spread to the gas dispensers, no one was harmed in the incident. The quick response and effective action of the firefighters prevented a potentially dangerous situation from escalating.
