Young 7-Eleven Employee Stabbed in Pattaya Convenience Store

A 19-year-old 7-Eleven employee was stabbed in the shoulder at the convenience store in Pattaya in the early hours of Tuesday, June 11th, 2024. The suspect was the jealous boyfriend of a woman the victim was allegedly talking with.

The incident occurred at around 12:36 AM at a 7-Eleven store located in the Jomtien Complex in the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province. Pattaya police and rescue workers responded to the scene upon being notified of the incident.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered the victim, identified as Mr. Krissana Charanrak, with a minor stab wound to his shoulder. After receiving first aid, the 19-year-old shared with The Pattaya News reporters that he was working at the counter when the suspect jumped over the counter and stabbed him in the shoulder. The suspect then ran away.

Fortunately, the suspect, identified by police only as Mr. Jiranuwat, 16, was quickly apprehended by police. He reportedly confessed to stabbing Mr. Krissana but claimed the victim had been flirting with his girlfriend, causing him to feel jealous.

The suspect has been detained and is expected to be charged with assault.
