Woman Arrested in Banglamung for Selling Fake Dietary Supplements on Facebook

Bang Lamung—

At 4:36 PM, on June 7th, 2024, the Thai Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), in collaboration with relevant agencies, conducted a raid on a condominium in Bang Lamung, Chonburi. They seized over 1,497 counterfeit dietary supplement units and other related products.

The video of the arrest can be found here on our YouTube channel.

The raid was initiated following a tip-off from a concerned citizen about exaggerated advertisements for dietary supplements from a well-known brand among teenagers. Acting on this information, the officers secured a search warrant from the Pattaya City Court and proceeded to the condominium in question in Banglamung.
There, they apprehended a suspect, identified only as 26-year-old Ms. Natthakit, and found the counterfeit products. Further investigation revealed that Natthakit allegedly sourced dietary supplement ingredients from Bangkok, filled capsules with unidentified substances by hand, and packaged them into cans.

These cans were then labeled with counterfeit logos of a famous brand and sold on Facebook for 190 baht each. It is estimated that she was generating between 30,000 and 50,000 baht per month from these sales.
Following the raid, Ms. Natthakit was taken to the Nong Prue police station for further legal proceedings.
