Chonburi—

On May 17th, 2024, Pattaya local media received complaint reports from locals as some operators at Na Jomtien Beach, Sattahip, Chonburi, allegedly placed chairs to reserve space for their customers.

Although Pattaya officials previously enacted an announcement sign to prohibit the sales of drinks, and foods, and placing objects for business purposes as it was a public area, it was found that some operators reportedly placed chairs and tables to reserve space for their customers, according to Pattaya local media.

According to Pattaya local media, many concerned citizens and tourists asked relevant agencies to Pattaya officials to inspect, inform the beach operators, and prosecute for legal action accordingly.

Recently, Banglamung officials and Pattaya police inspected Jomtien Beach on May 1st as locals reported noise pollution from fireworks. Upon the inspection, many stall vendors were also found selling illicit goods such as Kratom juice, firecrackers, and fireworks.
